NEW INTER-REGISTRAR TRANSFER POLICY
ICANN recently completed changes to the Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy ("IRTP"). These amendments come into force on 1 June 2012. You can read the policy document in its entirety on the following link: http://www.icann.org/en/resources/registrars/transfers.
In summary, the main change in the policy as follows: The losing registrar of a transfer is required to notify the holder of the domain name that a transfer is initiated to give the registrant the opportunity to cancel the transfer if it was fraudulently or improperly made.
We will automatically send e-mail for each outgoing transfer to the registrant / partner to provide the option to cancel the transfer. |
