| Description |
Anyone anywhere in the world can apply for a ‘.nl’ domain name. Personal domain names are only available to private individuals, though – not to companies or other organisations. There is no requirement for the applicant to be based in the Netherlands for either an ‘ordinary’ ‘.nl’ domain name or a personal ‘.nl’ domain name. However, if the applicant is based outside the Netherlands, the registrant is obliged by the General Terms and Conditions for .nl Registrants to use SIDN's registered office address as a domicile address.
